On Behalf of Imam Jamil Al-Amin, 99974-555, Prisoner at USP Florence Admax, Florence, CO – Black Talk Radio Network™

On 2 August 2007, Imam Jamil Al-Amin  was moved surreptitiously to ‘Super max,’ from the Georgia State Prison in Reidsville, Georgia into the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons to Oklahoma City and then on to ADMAX Federal Prison in Florence, Colorado within the next 24 hours.

ADMAX is the most harsh and secretive prison in the U.S., a place where many enter and few leave. He is not a terrorist. He has committed no crimes. This action on the part of the U.S. government was outrageous, racist, and in complete violation of his religious, spiritual, and human rights; and those of his family, friends and Loved Ones.

It is my belief that the combined offices of the State of Georgia, the Georgia Department of Corrections, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons by committing this crime against Imam Al-Amin, have acted extra-judicially.

This type of move was  similar in all aspects to the U.S. government policy of ‘extraordinary rendition’ or ‘irregular rendition’ i.e. a situation in which the U.S. transfers a person from country to country (or from one institution to another institution that is known for its harsh interrogation and torture techniques, as ADMAX in Florence, Colorado is.

Moves of this nature serve no purpose except to isolate a person completely from the outside world and to isolate the world from him. This is a type of imposed solitary confinement on a very large scale, and constitutes a form of torture in and of itself.

The actions of the U.S. government (i.e. the transfer of anyone to anywhere for the purpose of torture) is a violation of U.S. law and must be fought with extreme due diligence.

As of July 10, 2012, Political Prisoner Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin is being denied telephone calls and some of his mail is being diverted.

I encourage all to call the warden at ADX and Eric Holder to inquire as to why a prisoner w/ no institutional violations should be made to suffer punitive actions toward him by the ADX prison administration.

Also, write to Imam Al-Amin. His contact information is Imam Jamil Al-Amin, #99974-555; USP Florence ADMAX; PO BOX 8500, Florence, CO 81226.

Protests to the  warden may be sent to Charles Daniels, Warden of USP Florence; PO BOX 8500 Florence, CO 81226; phone # 719-784-9464; fax # 719-784-5290; email address: FLM/EXECASSISTANT@BOP.Gov

Protests to Eric Holder may be sent to: Eric Holder Jr., Attorney General, Office of the Attorney General, (ph)202-514-2001; US Dept of Justice; 950 Pennsylvania Ave. NW; Washington, D.C. 20530-0001;

The Public Comment Line for the office of the Attorney General is 202- 353-1555.

I also encourage all to sign the petition to return Imam Jamil-Al-Amin SAFELY to Georgia and to ultimate freedom.
